We here at The Style Con are thrilled to present BABEGANG, a new dance night at Ace Hotel’s London property that marries a few of our favorite things: fashion, music, nightlife, and feminism. Actually, come to think of it, that’s pretty much all we care about apart from maintaining our daily caffeine intake.
BABEGANG features a roster of London ladies (and one or two honorary male babes) who want to get you dressed up, and dancing hard. Pop artists, Ryann and Roman open the night with their glam-pop, gone artfully bombastic live shows, followed by DJ duo Kaya Kaya of the XL subsidiary, Kaya Kaya Records, and London It-girl, Flora Yin-Wong to make you shimmy ’til the dawn.
If that weren’t enough, there will also be a private vintage showroom open from 3-7pm in one of the hotel’s suites (we hear if you mention The Style Con at reception, that they’ll give you a key)  curated by inimitable London-based stylist and designer, Jude Nwimo.
In honor of all the radical babes involved, we caught up with each one individually to ask them three burning questions:
1. What their favorite item in their wardrobe is.
2.What their listening to.
3. who or what inspires their personal style.
Here are their answers…

SUZE OlBRICH: PROMOTER
1. Right now my first ever pair of glasses. Total new look and I can actually see at a distance which is pretty useful it turns out.

2. Everything! Still really enjoying Kelela’s “Cut 4 Me”, Blood Orange’s “Okay Cupid”, Francis and the Lights “Like A Dream” EP and “Yeezus” which I came to really, really late. Also some really wonderful 2014 records especially Planningtorock’s, Mø’s  and Metronomy’s. Can’t wait to hear more from Sampha, Hockeysmith, Empress Of soon, and a new all babe band Black Gold Buffalo too.

3. Clemence Poesy always looks impeccable. Chloe Sevigny too, of course. And then all the different people I see everyday that look so smart wrapped up tightly in their idiosyncratic little style cocoons.
FLORA YIN-WONG: DJ
1. A furry bustier Maria Francesca Pepe dress
2. The new Cohort001 EP by Chainless and everything by Galcher Lustwerk
3. Model/actress Kiko Mizuhara = total dream girl!
CHERISH KAYA: DJ/KAYA KAYA RECORDS
1. Leather puffer jacket

2. Lijadu Sisters
3. Pam Grier in the 1970s
KATY PARTRIDGE: DJ/KAYA KAYA RECORDS
1. Probably my black and white Nike ID free run 2’s. I wear them everywhere.
2. Lucky Eck$. His mixtape, ‘Alternative Trap’ is so good. My favourite mixtape of 2013 for sure.
3. Anything masculine with a pretty, feminine twist – if that makes sense.
JUDE NWIMO: DESIGNER & STYLIST
1. My Maroon kimono
2. Etta james
3. Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons
SARAH-ANNE GRILL: ACE EVENT MANAGER
1. Black pants without a doubt. There were slightly too many cookies involved over Christmas, so its them.
2. It varies on my mood really. I’m loving the new Jon Hopkins Album, Troumaca from Birmingham have a wicked tropical sound that breaks up the rainy weather, and for those days where I wanna kick back, Half Moon Run is on repeat.
3. If I would have to pick someone it would be my sister. She lives in NYC and has impeccable style, which I just love to copy.

RYANN: PERFORMER
1. Vintage Dior Clutch, Satin and gold accessory harness by La Bourdelle, all my Mother’s vintage DVF hand-me-downs
2. New Beyonce, Old Beyonce, Parenthetical Girls, Shellac, Death Grips
3. Jude.
